Council majority has best interests of citizens in mind

After reading the letter “Get the facts on water rates” by Sal Grosso in the March 3, issue of The Breeze, and the attack on our present city administration in a letter by Ralph Le Pera, headed “Disappointed by lack of concern” I must do a double take on my own letter “Time to move on” which appeared in The Breeze on Feb. 12 in which I accused our Mayor John Sullivan of “acting like a bull in a China Shop” over audit investigations. Maybe I am all wet and a bit premature in asking our mayor to “cool it” on an issue that he knows a hell of a lot more about than I. Is that at all possible?
In reading Mr. Grosso’s letter telling of his intended appearance at the next Financial Advisory Committee meeting which will be televised on Channel 98 on March 14, at 9 a.m., in city council chambers. It certainly does seem so.
Maybe there are some serious bugs in our governmental wood pile and a real in-depth investigation should be the order of the day to clear the air.
Whatever, I am of the opinion that Mayor Sullivan and his entire entourage have the best interests of the citizens of Cape Coral in mind and by no means wish them any harm.
So with that in mind gentlemen, hang in there. Do your best and remember “it’s always darkest before the dawn.”
