Give Obama’s health care plan a chance

To the editor:

I think the health care system in this country is horrible. It’s like being cattle shuffled through the gates to slaughter as quickly as possible.

There is no personal relationship between patients and physicians. There are way too many tests unnecessarily being ordered and paid for. Costs that skyrocketed to a point of absurdity. So, I think the health care system is catastrophically broken. Let’s give this new Obama approach a chance.

Let’s give Americans more choices, less chance of being cancelled by insurance companies or rates hiked up unexpectedly, co-pays being raised unexpectedly, or not being covered for pre-existing conditions. We need to have every American covered by insurance. Otherwise, we all pay the costs of the uninsured. It’s not fair. Everyone needs to be treated equally – and that includes Congress. I, for one, believe we should all have the option of being covered by the same plan that Medicare provides our senior citizens or the healthcare plan that Congress has. Health Care in this country is broken. Let’s fix it. Republicans: Get on board!
