Underground security?

To the editor:

Excellent choice for the waste-to-energy plant. One more item that could be added on as a by product – electricity for emergency and municipal entities. Electricity produced could be routed through underground conduits to specific sectors and buildings. Operations during severe storm scenarios could be maintained through the waste-to- energy plant or any other alternative means available. Support maintenance from local employment.

Now that we realize that there is a market for waste-to-energy plants I sincerely hope that we shop around for other competitors; check out Google search for waste management and then research Denmark, Netherlands and Israel to compare as well as N.Y.s’ Fresh Kill waste-to-energy systems. Steam generators are nice for Alaska and the late 1800s to early 1900s. Here, I should hope, we could do better.

Consider acquiring fuel from surrounding communities – at first they will pay to have their waste terminated but in a short while it will become a scarce commodity in 15, 20 years as the others jump on the wagon.

Efficiency will have a significant role as time progresses. Strategically use the system as an anchor supplemental to additional alternative systems. Cape Coral’s Green Acres.
