Alternative energy sources past due
To the editor:
How long do you suppose it’s going to be before the bull we have been saturated with about developing an alternative energy source to “oil” will become an accomplished fact? Or ever be? Don’t you get a big laugh when you hear our leaders say, “The time is now to start developing alternative source to our energy needs.” Whatever happened in all the bygone years? Who’s been sitting on all the ideas that have been proposed to rid us of this everlasting problem? Basically what I am saying is “When will we sheep be leveled with and gotten on with the doing?”
We all know that “water” is the most common and plentiful element on the face of the earth, and offers us all the answer to the problem for which we seek solution. Why isn’t priority of concern given to this fact? Why isn’t “Hydrogen Energy” already in place? President Nixon and Senator Vance Hartke of Indiana were hot on its trail some 40 years ago. What happened? Was the president shot out of office because of “Watergate? or quite possibly for “Water?” An interesting speculation if nothing else. Wouldn’t you think?
I seem to recall the existence of a Hydrogen Home with likewise appliances et all, and a Hydrogen Bus. Oh, and yes, whatever happened to the Hydrogen Cadillac that President Jimmy Carter had in his inauguration parade back in 1974? Does that car still exist?
That was one event that was given little notice.
Whatever, it seems to me that someone has developed answers to this problem, but other someones have bought them off, and put these answers away in a drawer until someone who presently doesn’t, gains control.
What say you? Food for thought, no?
