Cape needs to enforce immigration laws

Our city is holder of the (2) world records. One is the miles of canals and the second, violations. They are adept of twisting and hiding results.
Their motto? Keep stalling and they will get tired and give up. In 2007 Americans Standing Tall pressured and forced the city to enact the now famous 76-06. No contractors doing work in the city should be allowed to hire illegal aliens. Sixteen days later under the pressure by contractors then council member Bertolini made the motion and 76-06 became history. Even a magician would be called a slow poke. As far as I know every city elected official still ignores section 274-A of Immigration and Nationality Act.
Illegals worked at the new city hall. Illegals worked at the new police building. In fact a guard did threaten us with arrest for trespassing when we did check the illegal workers. He had a foul mouth and profanity on the P/H/D level and we gave him the proper name: mighty mouth.
About two years ago our group Americans Standing Tall started waving American flags at the U.S. Marines monument. You will see us on Sunday mornings and the aggravation by the park rangers has stopped. Mentioning T.V. cameras did not hurt. We are sure the city was behind everything. The city was also behind when the park rangers were checking and marking down our vehicle tags. Some of our friends did stop coming to the monument after one was told by his supervisor he did receive calls by city personnel. Few months ago I visited Mayor Sullivan at his office and after the pleasantries we did talk about the past and I brought up the subject of illegal aliens in Cape Coral taking jobs from local residents/taxpayers. His answer put me in the twilight zone: We do not have illegals in Cape Coral(?). I hope he remembers my reply: I talk with an accent but I do not think or understand with an accent.
