‘Family’ support greatly appreciated
To the editor:
I just went through a tragic and wonderful experience of people being family. I am so full of emotions, I have to share it with you all. My beautiful wife of 45 years passed in April and my granddaughter with two beautiful children and a Godsent husband, is suffering terribly because of our loss.
My granddaughter, Brooke, is a kindergarten teacher at Diplomat Elementary School. Now the word family comes into being because of the tremendous love and support our family received and continues to receive from her family at her school.
They took the time out of their lives to administer their love and support for our family through their visits, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and much, much more.
This Diplomat’s family behavior I found out is instilled in those beautiful teachers and their principal. There was so much love and caring, they will never know how much this relieved our pain.
I wish I had a way of showing Lee County and beyond the love these teachers showed.
It was and is a wonderful example for all of us. After all we are in a way, just one big family
