Worse than useless
To the editor:
It is amazing, when children tell a lie they are punished. Some even to the extent where mouths are washed out with soap. At the very least, children are chastised until they apologize and agree to change their ways.
In Congress, though, politicians believe that they have a license to be slimy. These pinheads promise things, and then they back down. They say things, and then say they did not say it. The fact that their babblings are on the record seems to have no bearing on the facts. Being disingenuous and crooked appears to be normal operating procedure in Washington. We must finally put a stop to shenanigans that have ruined our reputation around the world To say that the Congress is worse than useless is exactly right.
In private industry employees are hired for, and expected to perform. To make things happen is the only way for executives to keep their jobs.
In Congress we have an army of ‘talkers,” doers are not to be found. We need to sweep out the politicians in Washington that refuse to lead. Those that vote present instead of yes or no, if they were honest people would refuse their salaries and admit that when they do not contribute they do not deserve tax payer monies. Things will not get better until we clean up our government.
