Black gold could bring the green
To the editor:
A quote comes to mind “It is a funny thing about life: If you refuse to accept anything but the best you very often get it” – W. Somerset
Consider oil drilling. Increase of two billion in revenue and increasing our population by two thousand garnered laborers, of the oil industry. Temporally perhaps, yet we would be black gold industry. Go green, – ha – imagine windmills that require no fuel, only continuous maintenance. If you were thinking of moving to Florida, wouldn’t a black gold state surpass a green state? Keep in mind, the older generation would remember Valdez incident and help us to transfer our communities from retirement scenarios to a more aggressive populace. In no time we could surpass East Coast expansion.
One more thought comes to mind. Mr. Reid made a mistake in our favor. He introduced the proposition that states could opt out of health care. Now is our chance. Call your Republican representatives and tell them to vote for the opt-out solution. Then we can opt-out. We’ll show them liberals, we Republicans can beat them at their game.
