Sullivan will be a mayor who cares

To the editor:

We waited a long time to have a mayor who cares so much about Cape Coral. A mayor who beyond any doubt will remind every one: The constitution of State of Florida mandates that English is the official the “only language” of our state and that includes the city of Cape Coral.

I will be the first one to admit it is a strong plus to speak two languages. Take my word. It helps.

I vividly remember Councilman Day with an off the wall statement. If it was not for the illegal aliens, a lot of our housing would not have taken place. Right there “illegal aliens” violated state and federal laws and the oath of office. Again shall I remind every one that an illegal does not pay any kind of taxes and every red cent he earns travels south of the border? There were some surprises in the last election. The biggest of them all when council member Dolores Bertolini lost to newcomer Chris N. Chulakes-Leetz. Well, ex-council member Dolores Bertolini as long things went your way everything was Kosher. You step inches away to her liking, watch out. You will hear the words “Silent Night un-holy night.”

I cannot wait to see the changes and savings. I know it will not be overnight. I hope and pray the new elected officials will take under consideration future suggestions from tax payers. Time will show.

I would like to welcome the newly elected officials and looking forward to see the beginning of positive results.
