Approach to spending key election issue

To the editor:

Are you a liberal or a conservative? I believe this is the main issue in the upcoming Cape Coral city election. Do you buy because you want, or because you need? Do you spend to no end or do you live within your means? Do you borrow and borrow to satisfy your wants, or do you borrow to make ends meet? Do you shop without checking prices, or do you shop for the best value? Are you in favor of big government telling you what to do, or are you in favor of less government with less interference?

As a conservative person I believe in doing more with less. In this economic climate, we must tighten our belts. I am cautiously optimistic that things will change. However, it will take time. Cape Coral needs new leadership and a change in attitude. We need positive change. We need conservative direction. Truthful and honest government. No more taxes.

Enough is enough. On Nov. 3, vote for the conservatives, John Sullivan for mayor; Jim Martin District 1; Chris Chulakes-Leetz District 4; John Cataldi Jr. District 6.
