A big Columbus Day Parade and Italian Food Festival Thank You
The Columbus Day Parade and Italian Food Festival Committee wants to thank all who came out in the record breaking heat to our event. We are so grateful to our sponsors for supporting the celebration of Christopher Columbus and our Italian heritage. it is because of our sponsors that we were able to host this event.
Our festival this year was a true street festival with the aroma of delicious Italian foods, pastries, and coffee provided by our local restaurants and caterers. Our non-food vendors enhanced the event and it was truly enjoyed by all. Thank you to all of our vendors for taking part in the event and making it a huge success. And a big thank you to Pete and Carol Simone from the Pete’s Philly Steaks for coordinating all of our vendors.
To the entertainers, Kobayashi Dojo did a beautiful demonstration. The Lisa Lynn Dancers were adorable, The Del Prados once again donated their time and we rocked to their music, Mauricio and his beautiful voice brought the crowd to a new level. The Tarrantella dancers brought the culture, Bravissimo added to the culture with their beautiful operatic voices, Barry Newman and The Lords of Cool rocked the house and of course our headliner, Larry Chance & The Earls had us reminiscing and singing along to their hits Thanks to the CRA, especially Helen Ramey, and the City of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Dept. for all that you do to partner with our organization. This is a true partnership and we appreciate it.
We sincerely hope that everyone enjoyed the day. The Charles J. Bonaparte Lodge No. 2504, Sons of Italy donates to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimers, Cooley’s Anemia, and gives a scholarship each year. It is with pride and dedication that our group works hard to be able to give back to our beautiful community. We had a great time and hope everybody did too.
