Constitution is in trouble
To the editor:
I am writing under the gentle auspices of the fine folk at Hope Hospice, none of whom are responsible for the political opinions herein espoused.
Being a member of the nearly departed gives me a peculiar perspective on our national troubles. Herein Obamamerica I mourn for our country. Most of all, the constitution is in danger. We have already seen free speech abridged by the Humana decree; we have czars aplenty without checks and balances which guarantee congressional approval and oversight; we are buying approval of health care by guaranteeing millions to A.A.R.P., etc.
The Obama regime is a threat from everything to capitalism to free enterprise to organized religion. Disaster will really strike with the appointment of the next Supreme Court Justice. That new liberal court will strike down constitutional guarantees and perhaps even, postpone or cancel the 2010 election on the grounds that national unrest caused by the tea bag revolution.
I warn my fellows that these are, indeed, the times that try men’s souls because you have a country run by eels.
I will not be here to see it and I hope that my grandchildren will be able to stay out of the gulags that are the inevitable result of the destruction of democracy.
I die in despair that the country will not awaken before it is too late.
