To the editor:

Elections show Cape residents are unhappy with their government. A gentle way to point at Mayor Burch. Such a nice way to put it.

The unhappiness started two and half years ago when three candidates were endorsed among others by Americans Standing Tall. All three of them gave us their word if they get elected their No. 1 priority would be “Stop illegal aliens working in Cape Coral.” Jim Burch was the loudest. He asked me to distribute “Your fiscal conservative” brochure and the council enacted the now famous across our nation 76-06. The main part was: Cape Coral would not allow illegals to work in the city. Two weeks later it was rescinded. A world’s record. Their financial supporters the contractors and builders are still celebrating. Meanwhile, John Sullivan and few others were observing the council’s efforts to: “Destroy our city” and decided it is time to do something about it. If you think Jim Burch is not having “John Sullivan nightmares,” then I will be very happy to sell you my twenty-four story building in North Vietnam.

In between lines you can read the other paper is showing signs going to Sullivan’s side and slowly giving up on Burch. If anyone wonders they will embrace him, is there any other way?
