Shame on the non-voters
To the editor:
What with all the screaming and shouting heard at our recent Cape Coral council meetings, along with the overwhelming attendance that needed so much security due to the anger of the crowd in attendance. What happened? Only a 9 percent turnout of the electorate in such an important primary election. “Shame, shame-all you dummies who did not vote. What can you expect but to see the goat.” Keep your mouths shut, if you won’t get off your duffs to perform a duty that your young are dying all around the world to give and preserve for so many others who really don’t give a damn.
It is increasingly evident that the only way to wake up all you sheep is to take the vote away from you and institute a dictatorship. Now that’s “the one man, one vote” we all deserve and will most certainly get, if we don’t soon shape up.
“Give me liberty or give me death.” Hey Patrick Henry, we’re being given that choice once again-another shot. How do you like them apples?
