To the editor:

Before voting in this year’s election for mayor of Cape Coral, ask yourself the following questions:

1) Does the man have another job, or can he devote 100 percent of his time being mayor?

John Sullivan is retired. He has the time and will dedicate 100 percent running this fine city.

2) Can the man vote on every issue, or will he have to abstain because of possible conflict of interest?

John Sullivan will be able to vote on every issue.

3) Will the man truly listen to the residents of Cape Coral?

John Sullivan, as community activist” has listened to our concerns, and has fought for us all along. As a matter of fact, John Sullivan was instrumental in stopping the $110 million public safety building.

4) Will the man welcome public input at city council meetings?

John Sullivan knows what public input is all about since he has spoken in front of council many, many times. He will listen, evaluate and act upon our concerns.

5) Will the man recognize and utilize the many experts that live in Cape Coral?

Of course. no one has all the answers, and John Sullivan will seek advice from many experts living here, not just city staff.

6) Will the man sympathize and have compassion for the residents of Cape Coral?

John Sullivan is very compassionate. He feels our pain.

7) What campaign promise is the man making?

John Sullivan makes commitments not promises. (There is a difference.) He will not support any new taxes, fees, or assessments. He will make changes in the administration. He will work for truthful and honest government. No more manager at-risk contracts. John Sullivan stands for transparency, accountability and common sense. He will put an end to the tax-and-spend mentality, and no more out-of-control spending.

John Sullivan is my choice for mayor of Cape Coral. His honesty, truthfulness, dedication, and compassion for the residents of Cape Coal,l have earned him my respect and my vote. John would be honored to be Cape Coral’s next mayor.
