‘Silent majority’ needs to speak up

2 min read

To the editor:

Are you tired of not being represented by your elected officials? Are you tired of carrying the financial burden for the whole community? Are you tired of having a vocal minority decide what the future of our city is going to be?

I hope you had enough and decide to have your voice heard loud and clear. We don’t need to scream and shout, all we need to do is vote. You don’t need to leave your house if you don’t want to; simply call the Elections Office at (239) 533-6919 and give them your name, your date of birth, your driver’s license number, your address and your phone number. Request an absentee ballot and mail it in.

The Minute Men and the Road Ahead candidates are hoping you will not vote so they can control the council for the next four years. So do yourself and the rest of the community a big favor and vote. On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Cape Coral is having a primary election for the mayor’s seat. John Sullivan is a Minute Men candidate who does not care about the majority of the residents; skipping him will be the right choice. District 6 is also having a primary election and it doesn’t matter if you don’t live in District 6 to vote. Council seat elections are city wide. John Cataldi is another Road Ahead candidate and he also does not care about the majority of the residents, he doesn’t deserve your vote.

Make your voices heard with your vote.
