How much is enough?
To the editor:
In perusing my latest water bill ,simply because the charge of $44.22 strikes me as a bit excessive for one months usage of 1400 gallons for one person, and the city fathers are looking for more dough. I must raise hell and ask, “How high is up for you guys? Don’t you recognize the robbery that is already being committed upon the citizenry without any increases? Or is it that you simply don’t give a damn?
Whatever it is – something most certainly stinks here in our Denmark. If you take anytime to look at this bill that I make reference to maybe it will open your eyes.
A water base charge of $11.43, and then water usage, $2.83 how come? I still haven’t used up the base charge, why the double dip?
Then the sewer base charge, $13.90 and again the usage $6.56.How come? The sewer base charge, hasn’t been used up. Why the double dip? And, of course $9.50 for irrigation water that you drastically reduced my use of with threats of fines. Come on? How can you view this as fair?
Whatever, get off that kick of implementing new fees on our electric bill and other of our necessities to support that water boondoggle.
Maybe, just maybe, a temporary 1 percent sales tax, and a new city lottery for a one specific purpose can help you out with your dilemma. But, that’s as far as the old bird will go.
You know, they lock you up for rape, and this situation certainly borders on that outrage.
Think out of the box and get on the ball.
