John Sullivan for Cape Coral mayor
To the editor:
Who is John Sullivan?
John is a retired person who is not a politician and represents no special interest groups. He has the time, ambition and a strong desire to make Cape Coral a better place to live for all of us.
He strongly believes in “taxation with representation. He not only listens to your concerns, but also feels your pain and is willing and able to fight in your corner. Besides being trustworthy, honest, reliable, compassionate, determined, hard working, outspoken, yet humble, John is very well educated, conservative and detail-oriented. This conscientious, hard- working man has spent many many long hours, not to mention his own money, trying to cut the fat from city government, thus ending the run-a-way spending.
John Sullivan was instrumental in saving us, the taxpayers $110 million by opposing the public safety building; not because it wasn’t needed, but because of the heavy price tag and increase in owed taxes. He also helped many of us by speaking against the high prices of the utility expansion program.
You can find John Sullivan at almost every City Council meeting, speaking on our behalf, keeping council on their toes.
As you can see, this man is not only ambitious, but he is driven to do the right things for you and me, the residents of Cape Coral.
John Sullivan makes no campaign promises. He makes campaign commitments! Yes, commitments!!
He will not support any new taxes, fees or assessments. John will make changes in the administration. He will work for truthful and honest government; no more manager at risk contracts; transparency, accountability and common sense. He will end the tax-and-spend mentality; no more out-of-control spending.
John Sullivan has earned the respect and trust of many residents of Cape Coral. He means what he says and says what he means. For all of his hard work, honesty and dedication, John Sullivan deserves to be Cape Coral’s next mayor.
Please vote John Sullivan for mayor in the upcoming primary election on Sept. 15.
