Give children a voice on music programs

1 min read

To the editor:

I understand the money crunch for our schools and music is one of the first to be cut out of our schools, but not every child is athletic, some children’s voice comes out with their music and when they get recognized their self esteem goes up and their grades rise. At least let the children vote.

My son is new to the area is starting Oasis Charter school, he is extremely shy. His voice is his guitar, he is unable to hang outside because he is albino. I have taken a second job to be able to continue his guitar lessons outside the school system and maybe my son is the only one who likes music but at least give the children a vote to see if it’s financially beneficial.
