To the editor:

Every morning I have been sending one e-mail to President Obama, and requesting a reply, since it appears as though we will be receiving some modification, good or bad, to our health care system, in spite of a lot of objection. We all need to have some input to these changes and nothing short of a massive input will make that happen. The special interests will write the changes unless we all get off our indifferent asses and participate.

So far I have not received any answers so I am considering sending several e-mails to him each day. We need to make it several thousand each day to get their undivided attention. Google the White House for their e-mail form and e-mail address.

My e-mails ask this question. Why have you not mentioned tort reform with regard to medical malpractice suites and outrageous monetary settlements? These definitely adds a significant amount to the cost of medical treatment. This needs to change! Is your lack of response because you, your wife, and 90 percent of all Congressmen/women are lawyers? I suspect it is. The legal profession and the insurance companies are making a killing on the present situation and most likely do not want to kill the goose that lays many golden eggs for them every year. I for one, do not want to see either of them participate in the writing of these modifications. Let’s shoot the goose!
