Another view on Bush
To the editor:
Well, Dick Kalfus, we are all aware that you never get the picture straight, as in your letter of May 9, “Honor… Bush.” And I won’t be the only one out here to call you to task on it. We know that you have been a Bush apologist for several years.
Bush kept us safe? How about three years of devastating recession, with no action to rectify it?
No, the problems began much more than a year before the 2006 election, as the seeds of destruction were germinating. Then after the election, Bush prevented any corrective action by vetoing all legislation.
Oh, George W. had his convictions all right – most of them wrong, and he was determined to not own up to any mistakes.
Most of us realize that Bush was a perfect example of the “Peter Principle” – unqualified for the position he attained. The man could not reason or speak – two problems that we don’t currently have.
