Talk, talk, and more talk

To the editor:

It seems to me that he keeps campaigning for a job that he already has. He talks and talks and promises and promises. He convinces everyone that he understands, in minute detail, every aspect of every issue. But while he talks, unemployment increases, while he promises, our debt goes up and while he campaigns, we slip further into recession.

In Europe he kept apologizing for his country, forgetting that we have saved Europe from itself three times in the last century. Even there, he was campaigning for their approval. Is it to lift himself up? But why? Isn’t being the President lifted up enough? And how about his new best friend Chavez? It was OK for Chavez to tirade against the U.S. so long as Chavez liked Mr. Prez.

He lies with impunity as though, by the force of his personality, what he says will become the truth. The Press briefing was ridiculous. Thirteen fawning stuffed shirts pitched softballs, slowly and underhanded so that Prez could knock them out of the room with his verbosity. He loves to hear himself talk and relishes in his brilliance, perhaps overmuch.

And while he socializes GM and Chrysler by stealing it from the bondholders and giving it to the unions, Social Security is going broke. But don’t worry, he’ll have a talk-a-thon about it sometime.
