Rewrite the law, don’t blame DROP retirees

To the editor:

I disagree that people are “abusing” the DROP system. They are merely using the law to the best of their advantage as all of us do in other matters (an example is “Save Our Homes”).

The way DROP is written is wrong. How may of us use the tax laws, etc. legally in a manner that works best for us?

Re-write the program! Until then, more power to them.
