City is making work, wasting money
To the editor:
Why is the city painting center line and crosswalk lines on the side streets off of Surfside? These streets have not had lines on them forever. And we all knew where to walk and to drive.
Why now?
I tell you why. The man / woman in charge of this department needs to spend money to get more next budget year, and to make their job meaningful to the powers that be. Otherwise the powers that be will cut the department and save us money. This happens ever year. How many times have you seen the four guys standing around and one guy working? If you just put a freeze on spending and/or cut it these people would learn to work harder and smarter by doing more with less. That is how it is done in the real world.
Stop wasting our money!
