Kottkamp deserves kudos, not criticism
To the editor:
There is a theory that newspaper organizations have a tendency to follow the pattern of the human organism. Birth, growth, development, plateau, slow decline… and finally demise.
Not all follow this pattern, but too many to simply ignore it.
Those that survive and thrive never become consumed by pomposity, arrogance, and especially the promotion of attacks on people who have earned our praise, admiration, and respect.
The lieutenant governor has established himself as being a good, giving, hard-working, and very capable public servant. Jeff Kottkamp is a man to be admired and when the press engages in useless and disingenuous babble the result is only a loss of faith and confidence in the entire newspaper organization, loss of readership, and ultimately demise. The spewing of this kind of silliness can only be attributed to “weasels” who simply can’t control their envy and revel in attempting to hurt people.
We suggest that the big-media newspaper’s management put an end to a practice that can only result in irreparable damage to the entire organization. Further, we hope that “fairness” will prevail and this letter will be printed along with a “Kottkamp the good guy” story.
