Grill should do the right thing
To the editor:
I read an article that Grill gets to stay on Cape Council – simply because Mr. Grill voted in favor of himself on an issue in which he should have remained mute. I smell a rat. It struck me that Councilman Day had tried to be a nice guy in offering Mr. Grill an opportunity to be excused from council to straighten out his problems without penalty and was struck in the face by the vote of his own council.
Maybe Mr. Grill is completely clean in this issue of how he handles his private affairs, but his actions regarding his public position and his general attitude strike me of arrogance.
Yes, Mr. Grill, you should speak out on these issues being made against you in the media. Defend yourself or resign your office. We cannot allow our council to have another unnecessary cloud hanging over its head while attempting to do the important business of all the people.
Good luck to you Mr. Grill, but do the right thing.
