Cape knows how to give

An inspiring story:
Every day my husband, who is a Knight at St Katharine Drexel Church, picks up wrapped gifts from the giving tree at Perkin’s in the Cape. Daily, he puts them in the dressing room of Island Decor & More in the Cape where they are then transferred to a holding area. They will be delivered to all the children, families and elderly this coming Sunday! Ever day the Perkin’s tree and the Island Decor dressing room are completely emptied and every day they are filled again with gifts.
These givers are doing more than giving gifts to someone they don’t know. In this down economy customers and employees of Island Decor & More have been brought to tears and moved with great emotion at the generosity of these givers and the joy they will bring. There has been beautifully, artfully, carefully decorated packages that have included TV’s, DVD’s. iPods…. they have purchased and so lovingly wrapped the desired gift that was asked for on the persons wish tag. There are no more tags.
Every person on the tree has been adopted to let them know: We do care and do love our neighbors.
