To the editor:

Just a note to tell your readers all is not lost. There are still good and caring people out there. While I was out voting on Nov. 4, my home was burglarized, jewelry and money were taken. The gym that I go to, Gold’s, in Cape Coral, Mike and Shelli and instructors, took up a collection, so now my grand kids and great grandkids will be getting something for Christmas from grandma. And Mike also presented me with a gift card for a year at the gym. What a wonderful “family.”

I am fortunate in that I have another family, VFW Post 8463. I am a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary there. Carole and Shannon are two of the wonderful members that also saw to it that my Christmas would be happy. Thank you and blessings on you always.
