To new beginnings

Spring is the traditional season of new beginnings.

While we here in Southwest Florida don’t get the full impact of budding greenery ripe with the sound of newly hatched nestlings, the days of frost are behind us, the summer heat still well ahead.

For us, spring is mild weather and the beginning of baseball, the sharp magenta of bouganvilla and the hope for summer showers just ahead.

Hope.

It’s the message of the season – and of the holiday.

Easter, the most holy of Christian holidays, is Sunday.

It’s a celebration of rebirth, of resurrected dreams and the re-establishment of faith in a better future.

Hope. It’s a message for us all.
