Warren Calvin West
Warren West (95) of Cape Coral, FL joined a host of saints and his beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven on January 2, 2020.
He was born January 17, 1924 in Wilmington, DE. West enlisted in the US Army out of high school on February 2, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA. He was part of the reinforcement troops who sailed on the “Elizabeth” and landed at Normandy Beach on June 23, 1944, two weeks after the initial D-Day invasion.
After his military service West lived in the Philly area for years before moving with his family to Cape Coral, FL in 1962. After their arrival West and his family joined Faith Presbyterian church in Cape Coral, FL. West was owner with his partner of City Electric. He was very involved with Kiwanis, Pop Warner football as a coach and referee. He loved bowling and all sports, Big Band and Jazz music.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years May West and his stepson Major General Stanton R Musser.
West is survived by his daughter, Terry West of Cape Coral and his stepdaughters Sandy Musser of Cape Coral and Betty Verica of Sarasota. Along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
