Mildred Lee Sanborn
Mildred Lee Sanborn, 90, of Cape Coral died Thursday February 19, 2015 at Hope Hospice. She was born in Alexandria, VA in 1924 to Maurice and Mary Wingate. After high school Mildred worked for the Red Cross during WW II. She married Paul in 1944 in Alexandria. Together they moved to Kissimmee, Fl in 1958 and then to Cape Coral in 1962. Mildred was a charter member of the Cape Coral First United Methodist Church and the Cape Coral Rotary Clubs Rotary Ann’s. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Paul Sanborn, three daughters; Carol Weniger of Cape Coral, Donna Sanborn of Ft. Myers, and Mary (David) Rieser of N. Ft. Myers, one brother Robert Wingate of Cape Coral, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be celebrated 12:30 P.M. Thursday February 26, 2015 at Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral with Rev. Dr. H. Timothy Halverson officiating. A reception will follow the service at church with burial to follow at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice or Faith Presbyterian Church in Mildreds memory.
