Rupert deBellotte
Rupert deBellotte age 83, died of complications of multiple myeloma on January 21, 2015, in Cape Coral, Florida. Rupert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Eileen Simon-deBellote, of Trinidad; his Sisters, Ruby Boo-Soo-Boy and Rita Robinson, of Canada. His Children, Treva, Kirsten, Lyndon, Tyburn and Thirkell. His stepdaughter Nadine. His grandchildren Ryan, London, Trevor, Tiffany, Tannisha, Taylor, Traeden, Justine, Tycen and Thia. His great grand daughters Harlow and Haven. He was called UNC and loved by many, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. His brother Rawlins of Trinidad; his sister Ruth Shippley of Trinidad and his nephew, George Robinson, of Trinidad. Rupert was born on November 15 1931 in Trinidad, to parents Edred deBellotte and Drucilla Lottie Sulfan. He learned welding as a young man and continued in his career for over 40 years. He worked for several companies in Trinidad and other islands of the Caribbean. He also worked on many buildings in NYC. Rupert was a social, active man who was deeply involved in cricket for the majority of his life. He formed the Lee County Cricket Club after retiring to Cape Coral. He enjoyed soccer, cricket, and DIY projects and travel, most notably to Egypt Tunisia, and a cruise on the Nile River. His will be missed by his family and friends.
