William Scott Johnsen

William Scott Johnsen, 60, a part-time resident of Cape Coral for 12 years and a permanent resident since 2013, formerly of Framingham, Mass., passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, in Cape Coral.

He was born Aug. 27, 1954, in Ham-mond, Ind., to William and Georgine Johnsen, now deceased.

He was of the Lutheran faith. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and an avid cyclist, who rode every day, rain or shine. Cycling was his passion and he was most proud of earning the Super Randonneur badge, certified by Audax Club Parisien, in August 2014.

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 27 years, Janice Johnsen of Cape Coral; his loving daughter, Tracey MacGregor (Lenny) of Natick, Mass.; as well as his two grandchildren, Kevin and Brooke MacGregor also of Natick.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Spencer.

No formal services are planned at this time.
