Leslie Lockard Nisson
Leslie Lockard Nisson, 60, a Cape Coral resident since 2006, formerly of Annapolis, Md., passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Cape Coral. She was born March 4, 1954, in Flint, Mich.
She was the glue in the family and was the most amazing mother. Her smile lit up the room wherever she went.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, Michael A. Nisson of Cape Coral; two loving children, Megan and James Nisson, also of Cape Coral; her mother, Jean Lockard Poppleton of Fort Myers; two brothers, Steven (Linda) Lockard of Brunswick, Md., and Danny (Betty) Lockard of Fort Myers; six nieces, Andrea Lockard, Denise Cockerham, Julie Prevtil, Danielle, Kristine Lacey and Stephanie Nisson; five nephews, Bryan, Chad and Chris Lockard and Zach and Andrew Nisson; sister-in-law, Pat Lacey; a very special friend, Iona (Tom) Moreland of Annapolis, Md.; as well as Harley and Sophie, the dogs.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Lockard.
A Celebration of Life was held Thursday, April 3, at Tarpon Point.
