Leonora Helen Panio, 72, of Cape Coral passed away Monday, April 4, 2011, at her home. She was born on Dec. 1, 1938, in New York to Joseph and Josephine Vastano. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She was a great wife and mother.
Mrs. Panio retired in 2004 from Gulf Coast Village as the resident service coordinator.
She is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 53 years, John J. Panio Sr.; children, Joseph Panio, Laura (Mike) Richardson, John (Niki) Panio Jr., Michael Panio, Catherine Panio and Toni (Ernest) Skinner, all of Cape Coral; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. A funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the interment to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
