Melville “Bud” Reese
Melville “Bud” Reese, 90, of St. James City passed away Friday, March 18, 2011. He was born Jan. 26, 192. in Chippewa Lake, Ohio. to Norvin and Anna Neff Reese. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Naval aviator during World War II.
He has resided in St. James City since 1986 coming from South Amherst, Ohio. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and baseball. He retired from the railroad as a freight agent.
He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Reese, on April 12, 2007.
He is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Aleta Wiegand of St. James City; his son, James Eric Reese of Lorain, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jimmy, Ian, Dana and Brandon; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Eileen Hudson of St. Petersburg, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 3, at the American Legion, 4106 Stringfellow Rd., St. James City.
