Frederick Edgar Mooney Jr., 82, of St. James City passed away Thursday March 17, 2011. He was a retired trust officer with Security Trust Bank in Rochester, N.Y., a member of the Pine Island United Methodist Church and he had a passion for sailing.
Survivors include the love of his life, his wife, Marylyn; daughters, Diana VanDeVelde of Middlebury, Vt., and Sarah Saypack of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; sons, Frederick Edgar “Trip” Mooney III of Granby, Colo., John Mooney, of New Orleans and H. Cuyler Mooney of Rochester, N.Y.; a sister, Edwina Edge of New Jersey; grandchildren, Frederick Edgar “Freddie” Mooney IV, Travis Mooney, Melissa Mooney, Zack Mooney, Devon Mooney, Sienna Mooney, Sydney Saypack, Taylor Saypack, Brynn Mooney and Troy Mooney; and great-grandchildren, Zion Mooney, Eli Mooney, and Isabella Mooney.
A memorial service will be held today, March 22, at the Pine Island United Methodist Church, 5701 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia.
