LaVada M. Stroup
LaVada M. Stroup, 85, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Warren, Ohio, and Cape Coral, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 5, 2011, with her husband at her side. Born Nov. 11, 1925, in Howland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Elmer H. and Edna M. Oaks.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, William D. Stroup, resident of Willow Brook Christian Village; her four children, Karen D. Stroup of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Janet S. Kasler of Columbus, Ohio, Robert W. Stroup of Orlando and Thomas K. Stroup (Kristi) of Evergreen, Colo.; five grandchildren, Kimberly L. (Rob) Bisker of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Christine E. (Rob) Gorka of Concord, Ohio, Alexander B. and Emily O. Kasler of Columbus, Ohio, and Sarah A. Stroup of Orlando; four great-grandchildren, Allison, Jack and Owen Bisker and Gavin Gorka; and one sister, Donna M. (Jack) Longfellow of Orlando.
She is also survived by dear nieces and nephews, especially niece Jeanne Ferkany, fond friends and the loving Willow Brook staff of many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant daughter, Linda Marie.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Willow Brook Christian Village, 100 Willow Brook Way, Delaware, OH 43015.
