Renee Michelle Pearson
Renee Michelle Pearson, 52, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Cape Coral Hospital. She had been battling cancer for the past several months. She was born March 5, 1959, in Portland, Mich., to Carl Stanley and Judy Martin Stanley.
Caitlin Stanley was born to Renee on May 12, 1990, at Tampa General Hospital – a miracle baby as Renee had been told she could not have any children 11 years earlier. Renee met her future husband, Charles, on Feb. 10, 1997, and were married a year later on Nov. 7, 1998. Charles had Amber, a daughter from a previous marriage. Renee and Charles remained married throughout the rest of her life.
Because her husband served in the US Army, the family was transferred to Fort Drum, N.Y., where she kept herself quite busy maintaining her hobbies – sewing, crafting and cooking. She also spent the better part of her time at Fort Drum on the Family Readiness Group ensuring single soldiers and new families on the base received care only a mother could give.
Upon retiring from the military, the family moved to Cape Coral where Charles had grown up. She again made herself busy setting up a new household, sewing and cooking. She loved spending time by her pool, playing with her dog Baby and entertaining guests.
Memorial services are being held at 4 p.m., today, March 5, at Abiding Love Lutheran Church on Chiquita Boulevard.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; her daughter, Caitlin; step-daughter, Amber; sisters, Lisa, Dayna and Kim; her mother, Judy Martin; and Father Carl Stanley.
