Sheila (Gail) Carmack
Sheila (Gail) Carmack, 78, passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2011. The daughter of John P. Ates and Elsie Ates of W. Monroe, La., she is survived by her daughter, Leslie A. Carmack; son, Daniel B. Carmack; daughter-in-law Bonnie Carmack; her grandchildren, Austin and Amy; her sisters, Sandra and Joann; and bother, Michael.
A long-time resident of Pine Island, she enjoyed her retirement in the sun. She was an Air Force veteran, she was an accomplished cook, loved to fish, was an avid football fan and was loved by many friends from Pine Island and her previous home in Orlando.
Formerly with Dr. Phillips Foundation in Orlando, she remained in contact with the many friends she worked with after her retirement. She was an independent soul, full of life and laughter. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
