Vickielee C. Hettenbaugh
Vickielee C. Hettenbaugh of Cape Coral died on February 8, 2011, while on vacation in Grand Cayman.
She was born in 1956 at Lackawanna, N.Y., to Charlotte and Daniel MacDougal.
She is survived by her husband, Donn Berg; her mother, Charlotte (Wayne) Reed of Fort Myers; her son, Jason Hettenbaugh of Honeyoe Falls, N.Y.; and daughter, Kelly Hettenbaugh of Bonita Springs.
She also is survived by her brothers, Steven (Colleen) Roshia, Lehigh Acres and Daniel Roshia, East Aurora, N.Y.; and her sister, Marylou (Jim) Muckelwee, East Aurora, N.Y. Also, her nieces and nephews, Valesha (Steven) Brooks of Bloomfield, N.Y., Steven Roshia Jr. of Lock Berlin, N.Y., Jordyn Muckelwee of East Aurora, N.Y., and Michael and Keith Muckelwee of East Aurora, N.Y.
She graduated from Clyde-Savannah Central School, N.Y., and St. James School of Nursing, Hornell, N.Y. She received a B.S. degree from Empire State College and a M.S. in Nursing from St. John Fisher College, Rochester, N.Y. She was employed by Lee Memorial Health Park as director of SPCU and MPCU. Her nursing goal was to make sure all patients in her units were taken care of with compassion, competence and respect. She received several awards for nursing excellence.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 22, beginning at 7 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Cape Coral. The family will receive friends two hours before the service at the church.
