Sebastian Greif
Sebastian Greif, 97, of Cape Coral, formerly of Moorestown, N.J., passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010. He was born Oct. 3, 1912, in Philadelphia, one of five children of his parents, Andrew and Anna (Benshetler) Greif.
He began working for RCA during World War II on communication and radar development. Later he was a radio and television developer until he retired in 1975 working on government aerospace projects.
A resident of Cape Coral for the past 22 years, his hobbies included amateur radio, fishing and camping. He was a world traveler visiting all over the USA, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hertha, to whom he was married 48 years.
He is survived by daughter, Diana L. (Stephen) Wien of Cape Coral; his grandsons, Stephen (Jennifer) Wien II and Michael (Dawn) Wien; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Grace; as well as several nieces and nephews, and their children.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
