Dennie Otto Strickland
Dennie Otto Strickland, 70, of North Fort Myers, Fla., beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 1, 2010.
He was born Dec. 29, 1939 in Crawfordville, Fla. to Dennis and Emma Jo Strickland, now deceased. On May 31, 1959 he married Carolyn (Helton) Strickland at the Riverside Baptist Church. He served the North Fort Myers community for 33 years in the Otto Strickland Real Estate.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 51 years Carolyn Strickland; three children; Lisa (Doug) Strader, Steve Strickland and Lenny Parrella, Jill (Jon) Zbonack; four grandchildren; Matthew (Isabel) Strader, Lindsey (Collin) Grotbeck, Cody Kimmel, Madeline Kimmel; three great grandchildren, Audrey, Jackson and Micah Strader; brothers and sisters, Ethel Lee “Dixie” (James) Williams, Nancy (Herschel) Barfield, Ricky (Connie) Strickland; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday (today) at the Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, with burial following at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
