Joseph George Ambrose Sr.
Joseph George Ambrose Sr. of Bokeelia passed away March 8, 2010. He was born on March 9, 1922, in Dayton, Ohio, to Joseph C. Ambrose and Martha Ambrose. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 56 years, Dolores Ambrose; son, Joseph Ambrose Jr.; daughters, Martha (Jim) McLaughlin and Elizabeth (Massoud) Amin; brothers, George (Nancy) Ambrose and Bernard Ambrose; brother-in-law, Thomas Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Marinell Ambrose, Martha Bieler and Katherine Cooper.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 24, with burial and military honors provided by the V.F.W. at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
