Anthony L. Rotino
Anthony L. Rotino, 95, of Gulf Coast Village in Cape Coral died Tuesday Dec., 22, 2009. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1914. He retired from the Ford Motor company and moved to Cape Coral in 1975 from Sheffield, Ohio. He served on Cape Coral’s City Council for 16 years.
He was a member of numerous city clubs and organizations, including the Kiwanis, Italian American Club and the Volunteer Fireman’s Association. He raised money for the senior center that now bears his name: The Tony Rotino Senior Center at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.
He is survived by his children, Joe (Betty) Rotino of Cape Coral, Sam (Ginny) Rotino of Buffalo, N.Y., Barbara Ann Lane of Florida and Fran Rotino of Noth Fort Myers; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 2001.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, at Coral Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be this Sunday from 5-8 p.m., at the Metz Funeral Chapel.
