Rita M. Blaker
Rita M. Blaker, 90, of Cape Coral, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Gulf Coast Village. She was born in 1919 in Chicago, Ill., to her parents William and Helen Koss.
In 1942, she married Jim Blaker, who preceded her in death. She moved to Cape Coral in 1991 from McHenry, Ill. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Maggie (Sandy) Brousseau of Albany, N.Y., Paul Blaker of Speedway, Ind., Mary (Sam) Mazzotti of Cape Coral, Michael (Bonnie) Blaker of Hoffman Estates, Ill., Kathi (Todd) Christopherson of Palatine, Ill., Terri (Charlie) Favaro of Lake Zurich, Ill., Bob (Sandi) Blaker of Rolling Meadows, Ill., Lynne Blaker of McHenry, Ill., Donna (Forrest) Kogut of McHenry, Ill., and Tom (Linda) Blaker of Rolling Meadows, Ill; grandchildren, David, John and Katie Brousseau, Tina Richards, Tracy and Samanatha Mazzotti, Nicole Glab and Bryan Blaker, Allison, Amy and Bob Blaker, Sean and Rita Christopherson, John and Cari Favaro, Tyler and Zachary Stone, Jake, Sarah and Gina Brown, Aaron and Alex Blaker; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Link.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
