Joanne M. Parker
Joanne M. Parker , 67, of Cape Coral, died Dec. 3, 2009 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral after a courageous multi-year battle with cancer.
She was born in Manchester, NH on June 8, 1942 as the only child of the late Stanley and Katherine Rzeznikiewicz. She graduated from Central High School and went on to earn her nursing degree at Sacred Heart Nursing School in Manchester. She was a member of St Pius X Church for her years in NH and St Andrew Church in Cape Coral. Joanne and late husband Allan moved to Cape Coral in 1986 where Joanne continued nursing. She eventually moved on to become a Nurse Paralegal for the law office of George Hartz Lundeen, who she fondly called her second family.
We will remember Joanne as a compassionate nurse, a friendly competitor on the tennis court and golf course, but, mostly as a loving, selfless mom, wife, friend and companion with a tremendous spiritual soul. She brought happiness to everyone she touched and was taken from us much too early. We hope that she will be remembered for her enormous heart and beautiful smile.
Joanne is survived by three sons Michael, of Charlotte, NC, Christopher, of Arcadia, FL, Sean, of Denver, CO and her fiance of many years, Jim Wilterdink, of Cape Coral.
A service to celebrate Joanne’s life will be held Monday at 11am at the chapel of St Andrew Church. Presiding over the celebration will be Father Phillip Joly.
