Lt. Christopher L. Wood
Lt. Christopher L. Wood, 49, of Cape Coral, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2009. He was born March 2, 1960, in Fresno, Calif., the son of Loyd and Janice (Shelton) Wood.
He attended Bend High in Oregon, where he played quarterback for the football team. He was a 20-year veteran of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
He coached his sons’ baseball team for many years and enjoyed golfing and football. He was an avid Rams and Dodgers fan.
He was always a very positive person. He was a very loving and devoted husband and father. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him – Live Laugh and Love.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his beloved wife, Diana Wood; children, Christopher Thomas, Drew Tyler and Tiffany Amber, all of Cape Coral; parents, Loyd and Janice Wood of Oklahoma; brothers, David (Kathy) Wood of Iowa and Mark Wood of Oregon; and sister, Pam (Tom) Hand of Texas.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Gendron Funeral & Cremation Services Inc. in Fort Myers. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cape Christian Church, 2110 Chiquita Blvd.
