Ruth Ellen Shorkley
Ruth Ellen Shorkley, 88, of Tampa, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009.
She was a graduate of the Trap Hagen School of Fashion and Design in New York City. She was president and teaching illustrator of the Cape Coral Florida Art League and was well known for her watercolor paintings.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Jay Tyler Shorkley of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Dean Kelby Shorkley of Tampa; daughter, Daune Croce of Islip, N.Y.; daughters-in-law, Kacey and Joann Shorkley; son-in-law, Pat Croce; and grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler, Jason, Justin and Laura.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Harry Shorkley.
