Thanh Pham-Do

Thanh Pham-Do, 86, of Cape Coral, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009. He was born March 23, 1923, in Hanoi, Vietnam, a son of the late Luan Pham-Do and Tinh T. Le.

He was a senator for the Republic of Vietnam. He was also a colonel in the Vietnamese Army and president of the Vietnamese Veteran’s Legion.

A highly educated individual, he was a very family oriented person and his family was his main concern. He had resided in the Cape since coming from Boston, Mass.

He is survived by his wife, Duc T. Tran of Cape Coral; children, Kim Chau Pham (Hung Le) of Boston, Mass., and children Tuan and Amy, Kim Mai (Van Mai) of Cape Coral and son Michael, Hung T. Pham-Do (Melissa) of Boston, Mass., and children Carol, Andrew, Jonathan and Sophia, Tuan Van Pham-Do (Kay) of Oregon and children Ada, Richard and Erick, and Ly Huong Pham (Gary Mielke) of California and children Christine and Meagan; brothers, Thuyet Pham-Do and Ngi Pham-Do, both of Vietnam; sister, Ngo Pham of Connecticut.

Visitation will be held from 3:30-8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel at Coral Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday at the funeral home during the visitation. Entombment will be held at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
